Hull material

Composite sandwich laminate of core cell foam, glass fiber reinforcement and epoxy vinyl ester resin. Four sealed compartments, front and rear provide 2000 lbs (907kg) of flotation. No wood is used in the construction of the craft.

Subaru EJ22, 90 hp (67 kw), 4 cylinder, 2.2L, multi point fuel injected, 16 valve, distributorless ignition, water cooled.

Drive system

The simple and reliable drive system uses standard v belts to one lift fan and one propeller.

Thrust propeller

84” (213cm), 4 bladed adjustable pitch composite propeller.

Lift fan

34” 12 bladed adjustable pitch nylon fan.

Skirt System

Multi-compartment skirt with front and inner divider curtains. Large diameter bag type  skirt on sides and rear.

Skirt material

28 oz/yd (949g/m2)vinyl-coated 1000 denier polyester. appox 500-700 hour life.

34 oz/yd Elvaloy. approx 1,000 hour life.

Brakes

The brakes, controlled by the operator, reduce the pressure of the forward two compartments allowing for smooth slowing, stopping and turning.

Noise Levels

82 dBA measured at 50 feet (15.2m) over grass, full power. 78 dBA measured at 50 feet (15.2m) over grass, cruise setting. The large diameter propellor reduces noise far below common hovercraft by making efficient use of power.
